Q&A

Q: Love your stuff, can we work together?

A: If I have free time and if your type of request is commission based, I'd love to. I will probably work commercially (being hired, etc) in the future, but at the moment I haven't really worked with anybody before, so if you're interested, contact me as always. I'll usually be free, however I still am in an education and will need more time to study in coming years.

Q: What is your main type of work?

A: I mostly do stuff like graphic design, illustration, and character design. However, I also do music composition and writing in my spare time.

Q: What are your main inspirations?

A: Most of my works are solely based on visual aesthetics typically seen in the 2000s (illustrations, video games, cartoons, Flash animations, etc) and styles with both Western and Eastern influences. Characters that I design are usually identified with thick outlines, large round eyes, and super-deformed proportions. For graphic design, most of it is influenced by the Y2K movement of the late 90s - early 00s.

Q: What software do you use?

A: Good question. I actually use a software named "Turbowarp", a modification of the popular coding site Scratch. While it isn't as advanced as software like Photoshop or Illustrator (which I have used, but not at home), it has a simple interface and easy-to-use set of tools in it's visual editor that I have became accustomed to over the years. As I don't have the budget to use the bigger software, it has been be my go-to program for a long time. Occasionally I'll use more raster-based software like FireAlpaca, but Turbowarp is my main tool of the trade.

Q: Will your portfolio ever expand?

A: Very likely. As of now, I am showcasing my illustrations. But in the future, the portfolio will build and will include more types of content.
